Welcome to SportCrew (“SportCrew”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and when we may share it when you use the SportCrew mobile application and related services (the “App”).
By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1) Information We Collect

Account Information
- Username
- Email address
- Password (stored in hashed form, not plain text)
Profile Information
- Gender
- Year of birth or date-of-birth related eligibility data
Location Information
- Approximate location used to help show nearby games and relevant discovery results
- Real-time location used on device for App functionality and not stored on our servers
Community and Activity Information
- Games you create, join, leave, or delete
- Participation history
- Merit points, weekly limits, and moderation-related status
- Feedback, ratings, attendance notes, behavior notes, and level-related reviews
User-Generated Content
- Chat messages in game rooms
- Messages sent to support or through in-app communication channels
Device and Technical Information
- Push notification tokens
- Device and app context such as operating system or language preferences
- Basic technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the App
2) How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and profile
- Provide access to App features, including creating, joining, and managing games
- Apply game eligibility rules and improve relevant discovery results
- Enable in-app chat, coordination, and support communication
- Send account, security, and game-related notifications
- Maintain community quality through feedback, moderation, merit, and quota systems
- Protect the App, enforce our rules, detect misuse, and prevent fraud
- Improve, personalize, localize, and secure the App experience
3) How We Store and Protect Information
We store data using infrastructure designed to support the operation and security of SportCrew, including a PostgreSQL database hosted on DigitalOcean infrastructure.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Real-time location used for game discovery is handled on device for core functionality and is not stored server-side.
4) When We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information only when necessary to operate the App, provide services, comply with law, or protect users and the platform.

- SendGrid for email verification, recovery, and related email delivery
- Expo for push notification delivery
Administrative and Moderation Access
Authorized administrators may access account information, activity history, chat content, feedback, and related records strictly for moderation, user safety, fraud prevention, support, legal compliance, and platform security.
Legal and Safety Reasons
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the integrity of the App.
5) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access or update your account and profile information
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Manage push notifications through your device settings
- Change language preferences and theme settings inside the App

6) Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the App, maintain accounts, provide services, support users, enforce rules, and meet legal, security, or dispute-related obligations.
When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period unless retention is required or permitted for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
7) Children’s Privacy
SportCrew is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
8) International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed or stored on systems located outside your country of residence. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use safeguards appropriate to protect personal information during such transfers.
9) Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
